Last night I watched an episode of The Bill on Eden Channel, of all places, where not only does a sergeant mention Radio Caroline, but where viewers get to see a snooty DTI official urging the police to shut down pirate station Radio Sun Hill. The officers thought this a waste of police time, with one even being a fan of the pirate radio station, but the DTI man insisted on action being taken. On arrival at the station's HQ, all had fled, and much to the annoyance of the DTI man, the DJs had taken the transmitter with them. Hooray!
