Radio Seagull unwraps Christmas presents
Radio Seagull has adjusted the schedule for the Christmas week. The regular line up has been changed to enable Santa to schedule a pile of unique radio presents that will be unwrapped during the week starting on Monday December 23rd all the way to Sunday December 29th. Tune in to witness the one off surprises being opened one by one.
Monday and Tuesday a range of historic programs by former Seagull crew members like Dave Foster and Carl Kingston who have passed away recently are rebroadcasted.
On Christmas Day from 6am all the way till 6pm the biggest package amongst the presents will be unwrapped by a range of current Radio Seagull presenters. They bring you the Radio Seagull listeners album top 50 !! From 6pm till 6am you can hear the repeat in case you missed something!
Boxing Day brings another surprise. From 9am till 12 midday (CET) Norman Barrington takes you on a ride through radio that starts 50 years ago in 1974 when many offshore radio stations in The Netherlands had to throw the towel. Here too there is a repeat, from 9pm till 12 midnight!
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday another pile of archive recordings slides over the operating desk of Radio Seagull.
Radio Seagull broadcasts 24/7 on www.radioseagull.com , on 747 AM in The Netherlands (6pm/6am), and every Saturday and Sunday night from 10pm till 6am on DAB+ in Edinburgh, Brighton and Central London. The Radio Seagull base, the radio ship Jenni Baynton, is currently moored in Harlingen, The Netherlands.
