don't believe everything you see on here

On the Licence fee, In the Old days of "Television detector vans" the horizontal deflection circuits, and Local oscillator
radiation from the CRT based television, could be picked up outside in the street, especially in the 405 line days
(you could even tell which channel the TV was tuned to, the speaker in TV Vibrated the VFO coils, putting FM mod on it)

But nowadays with Flat screen TV's, apart from computer hash, TV's difficult to detect outside
So the so call "goons" visiting people with no licence, resort to things like putting a microphone into the letterbox
to see if they can hear TV sound
