Sad to report that David Williams, long standing anorak and radio enthusiast of Southampton area recently passed away. He had been a keen listener since the 60/70's, and was particularly fond of short wave and 48 metres/sunday mornings. If you've been around a while or have run a SW station, you probably had a reception report from him at some point. He was a regular attendee at the Southampton Caroline meetings until recently - he was one of the founding members back in the 80's. It was obvious to all that his health and mobility had been going downhill and his battle against diabetes was taking its toll.
Funeral this Friday 21st, St Mary The Virgin Church, Hound Road, Netley, SO31 5FS at 11am. All welcome.
