Because this concerns only a few people within the anorak community, we are posting this news here:
1. Our friend Mike Wilson has been physically ill, and on "doctor's orders", this has resulted in him stepping back in order to regain good health. We wish Mike a swift and sound recovery.
2. Our own reference to recent news events delaying our own publication of 'Dial 999 for Caroline' is not related to anything posted online by anoraks. Their activities are totally unrelated to reality and therefore of no concern to us. We had to make this point clear to these anoraks since they seem to think that we are referring to their own sectarian war with Malcolm Smith. It has nothing to do with Malcolm Smith or any squabble they are having among themselves. 'Dial 999 for Caroline' is a book about broadcasting set against the backdrop of real life political events of the past, and our publishing timetable adjustment is connected to recent announcements concerning those political events. This statement is all we are prepared to explain at this time.
3. Anoraks can now go back to attacking each other over the business operations of Malcolm Smith.
