As You say Stephen the modern day receivers are v poor in the selectivity department, even though they may be sensitive to weak signals, so fine during the day,but useless at night, even though there are not many stations on MW like there used to be. The answer is to go on line and get a Hacker or an old Roberts in good condition for around 60 to 80 Pounds on Ebay, loads of them, or one of those old radio shops, one which i know in Portsmouth. If you live some way from Orfordness, make a loop,or purchase a small commercial one.Rgds Mike
