It is now totally obvious that something big is planned for the 60th anniversary year of Radio Caroline. In the meantime total consistency is required for the current authorised output of 4kW EMRP. There has been more breakdowns with the Harris DX25U in less than two years than the Nautel 2.5kW when it was the main transmitter. When it can be justified, I believe Ofcom will authorise up to 10k EMRP eventually. Radio Caroline is only officially licensed for Region 9, however there is an overspill in Region 8, parts of of Kent and parts of East Sussex (which has yet to happen). For those living in certain parts of Region 10 (London) you will never get the reception strength that came from the Knock Deep, neither (currently) will there be a certain signal level at the region 9/10 boundary breached.
