I always enjoy programmes from the ship, at first I thought it was just the music, but last year the 70s reunion, which I thought would be dire, turned out to be better than North broadcast.

I think the main problem with the Main service is it has remained the same for too long. At sea you would have got a schedule change every couple of months due to crew changes so it always sounded fresh.
