[offer from UKBetting of £10.2m] this was rejected by the TEAMtalk management. It would be a very odd set-up if "management" were even involved in such a negotiation, much less taking a decision. Such matters are the prerogative of the Board, which I think is where Bill parted company. They had a very skilled "takeover" guy on the Teamtalk Board, ex KPMG and a really big shaker who is nowadays running a multi-million company in Yorkshire. The offer was one that would have been foolish to reject, and Bill was possibly too much of an anorak to agree. But definitely made in the Boardroom, without any "management" being consulted at all.
