When I was living in Ibiza back in 83, we used to listen to Capital after finishing work at 2am local time, it came in so clear, almost like it was local, no fading either, then would just disappear at daybreak.
No problem with listening and understanding. Sorry for mentioning Caroline here, but picked them up in September 83 on 963khz just before closure. Reception was only acceptable to anoraks desperate to hear that it has returned to air, but was very difficult to know it was them unless you knew what you were trying to hear. Basically a bell and the Fortunes song .
