When we bought the antenna, it was supposed to handle 10 kilowatts. It could not. We had flame arcs at the ends of the fed element, so-called corona effect (nothing to do with the virus). As a result, the manufacturer rebuilt the elements at his expense; now it works.
The gain of 10.5 dB was calculated by our consultant. If I turn the beam in the main direction of the dipole for 9670 kHz and compare the results on WebSDRs, the beam brings a 10 to 15 dB stronger signal at the receiving site. So 10.5 dB gain does not seem so wrong.
All our transmitters run with Orban Optimod processors for shortwave.
