Interesting summary of what was said last night, but slightly different interpretation to what I heard. You make no mention of the valid point Alan made about folks emailing OFCOM from well outside the licenced area demanding more power as their reception was poor. As Alan went to lengths to point out, emails like that to OFCOM do nothing to "help the cause" and could well backfire hence the last minute message on the website for folks in the Essex/Suffolk/East Kent area ONLY to send messages of support. You didn't mention Alans discussion about the solar panels, also, including plans to expand the system and reposition some panels to give more consistant power output during the available daylight hours. And when it comes to DAB via AM, Alan also mentioned that the AM service seems to generate more listener response and interaction than all the existing DAB services - hence one reason they are keen on AM for additional coverage alongside online listening, and not spend a fortune on DAB. He pointed out that any DAB expansion has to be considered in light of costs against increased support group members and advertising takeup.
