How do the radio Ofcom restrictions work? I mean the TV has a watershed, but really I do not like being nannied by the state, I will stick with my playlists and foreign stations that don't have these silly restrictions.

Who are they trying to protect? they'll hear far worse in the average school I am sure, if it's a case of "think of the children", then they are not even listening to the radio, they'll hear their music via online services without Ofcom restrictions.
