Arrogant, out of touch upper management are intent on completely decimating BBC local radio. In typical BBC style, only the deadwood, including pointless layers of over paid upper management will survive. Much loved popular shows and presenters are being axed, inspite of a barrage of listeners (licence payers) complaints.

Commercial groups lost interested in providing local radio services years ago in order to maximise their profits, yet the BBC are ignoring the golden opportunty to mop up the abandoned local listeners.

Community radio regulations need to be radically overhauled so that they have a fighting chance of filling the local radio void, now being so ineptly let down by the BBC.
