I've been invited to speak at the Radio Day 2023 in Harlingen next weekend and have been working on my presentation this weekend. I've found 3 boxes containing hundreds of CM documents stored in the depths of one of my out buildings. Two of the boxes contain the letters and replies connected with the outrage that followed the raid on the Ross Revenge. Sadly they've suffered from water damage over the years, but I think I've saved them just in time. They are all the letters written by CM supporters to just about every Government agency, MP, Lord and Lady, Baron and Baroness. They also include letters to Dutch and even other European agencies in support of the plight of the Ross Revenge following the raid and the associated replies. I had forgotten just how much support we had back then and the letters and documents make fascinating reading now. I know that many of you on this message board were amongst those supporters and it has been quite humbling to re-visit some of the campaigning you did locally and nationally on our behalf. I just wanted to say thanks to you all and I am so pleased that I saved these papers even though they are now 34 years old and in very fragile condition. It makes me very proud to be reminded of the time you all spent protesting about what happened. It is indeed very interesting to look at some of the comments from some of the individuals who replied to your communications. In particular to look at what became of some of those MPs and others in the years that have passed by since then!
