Re: How to measure signal sttrength accurately
What I said earlier, I didn't really like the processing those first days / first period until the last tweaks that were done a few weeks ago. I thought it sounded very thin, it had no punch, it always sounded like a talk radio station broadcasting some music. It didn't sound like a music station in terms of processing, not like the real Caroline sound. It sounded too clean. AM should really shine in terms of processing, bombastic with thick lows and sparkling highs, and I think that is happening much better now. Only the high could be a bit more sparkling and crispy. Only the Caroline North weekends were the best in terms of audio. Now that has been equalized with a similar situation made in Strood where the main studio with, among other things, an Optimod there that has been placed in front of the line to Orfordness, I understood from a posting by RobA. in another thread on this board. That's the same situation on the Ross, there's also an Optimod for the line to Orfordness I thought. What I still find is that soft passages in tracks are sometimes pulled up too slowly by the processing, which makes them sound too soft, you can also hear that with soft intros of tracks. And then the fact that the mics sometimes sound too soft compared to the music I wrote earlier this week.
