Absolutely Jim. Also to measure a field strength accurately you need to be in a very open location well clear of trees, power lines and buildings with a calibrated antenna. Anything less than this will be meaningless. You're much better off doing it by calculation. taking into account EMRP, Distance, frequency and ground conductivity (for MW & LW)
