Or Garry, to put it another technical way - Put the Orford TX in a building, just by the aerial - & at a stroke, reduce those cable losses in a long co-ax
Of course, a 3 phase power cable would have to be laid to this non-existent building Which has to be built - Or as happens elsewhere, stick an old container by the aerial !
Lots of costs, to achieve this saving though.
