If I were a potential broadcaster, AM Loop - 1215 would be the last frequency I would choose - Now absolute CR*p has gone, I can hear at night, at least 2 foreign language TXs on there. The low frequency end of MW, is the best part to use - & the signal (at the same power) carries further by ground wave too. Across the sea, even further. The only use for 1215, would be one very big TX (500kw perhaps) Centrally located. With Scotland & Northern Ireland, covered on two different frequencies.

A question for Paul Rusling - If a "community" station, such as Caroline decided to stop transmitting on mW within their licence period, would they suffer the same financial penalty as Absolute, potentially do?
