Mike, I have thought that the UK authorities does not want any public broadcasting to reach beyond the UK boarders, or any transmissions from other lands / regimes to be received by the UK public that CANNOT be UK authorities censored. THAT I FEEL IS WHY DRM ON L & MW IS NOT OFFICIALLY DESIRED. "They" want to CENSOR everything. If dear Geoff Hutton was still around, I'm certain he would agree with this. So, if we want to see DRM used on M & LW it is only going to happen if Free Radio Pirates use it. There is downloadable DRM software that would allow ANY PC or Smart Phone to generate and receive DRM "audio". I wonder if you get my reasoning why Ofcom etc. does NOT want long range DRM broadcasting??
