I wasn't giving a view on the new way of using the DRM coding technology, I was simply reporting that it was being discussed and wondering if the RTE might use it to get wide area coverage for their RTE 1 programmes. I wasn't suggesting any nice broadcasters might throw millions at the idea.
What amuses me most is that these 'experts' can dismiss anything by saying that if its not already happening, then it wont happen. What a good thing that those who launched pop music radio, commercial radio and many other things were not also wandering around with the Maysayer''s welding glasses on. Those who can see nothing and envisage nothing will never have the creative imagination to ever get anywhere. Good thing that not all of us follow them.
