Yes most of the points you make are true, but they are no longer lo fi, the early radios were poor, but the most recent in the last couple of years are a lot better,with a bit rate of 78Kbt instead of 22Kbt which is no good for music. The problem as you say is getting the radios. Its a shame in a sense Ofcom backed the DAB Manufacturer in order to protect there products,and DAB is not great either,its a situation where we will have empty MW bands,which could be re used,with another technology.Rgds Mike
