. Apart from the above mentioned remaining parts, there is a significant part of one of the original two antenna masts still surviving and actually transmitting radio to this very day. It is used as the supporting mast for the FM antenna of community station BRFM on the north Kent coast (Sheppey) which broadcasts on 95.6 FM.
The tower has magical properties as the station only uses 25 watts but can be received well into North Essex and along the Essex coast over 30 miles away as well as all along the north Kent coast! Another community FM station in North Kent uses the same power but fades less than five miles from its TX site in all directions.
