Interesting Point, Stew - I must admit, in the main I prefer the 1970s era for it's Music - for me, it was when the artistic talent, made best use of the improving Technology. I find much the same thing, with 1970s TV as well.

But of course, others will have their Fav era, too - I think Garry, is very much a 60s man

But personally, I feel the technology rules FAR to much these days -
IN TV, just because Shape-shifting creatures, are easy to Digitally, create - should not mean, every other film - should be full of them

A very personal opinion I have about the best & purest voice in a Female singer of all time - well it was a close run thing, between Karen Carpenter - & this wonderful lady, from the 1940s:
