Re: Solar Panels
I notice that a Fred Bramley post yesterday has been deleted. It contained certain numbers regarding M1/A411 junction area. I assume that it is same radio that was used on previous reports at different locations. I know how to do the convertions, and it has proved useful. What it confirms is that my post a few months ago, re: 1mv daytime coverage area was extremely accurate. After dusk, the reception in Edinburgh and Fife varies (on average) between 0.5 and 1.5mv. This is similar to 576/558 when the 84 metre mast on the Ross Revenge existed up to November 1987. On AM, for consistent Day/Night coverage, the signal strength has got to be minimum 3mv or greater, otherwise those in a stable (of various signal strengths) daytime reception, will experience fades (or gains) of various magnitudes depending on distance from the TX at Orfordness. Fred B, you always like to criticise me, on this occasion, I thank you for your information. Scottg.
