We found a disused sports Pavilion in a school field which still had power in the boiler room. It was a great site overlooking our home town. First we put our own lock on the rear boiler room door, a week later it was still intact. We then erected a band II J and a band III dipole on the chimney stack, a week later it was untouched. We then installed the rig, and link receiver and started doing regular broadcasts several times a week. It lasted 3 months before being busted.

Anyway about 8 months later we all had our homes raided early on a Saturday morning and were taken into custody, this was over another setup at a different location. While being interviewed at the police station by John Garlick and Eddy Ball they mentioned the Pavilion bust. Apparently they asked the school headmaster if he wanted us found and arrested for using his Pavilion and electricity. He answered, "no way, I admire their ingenuity"
