Fabulous to see this footage again. The lovely, but sadly late Dave Francis gave us this footage which was used on the video, Once, Twice, Three Times A Lady. This featured three sections of Caroline. The RSL In Docklands, that film footage, and then the last section shot at The Maidstone footage.
The Three Times A Lady name was suggested by Chris Martin after I asked for names for the video when I was on-air.
I loved that film section as there was so little footage available on the Mi Amigo in the 70’s, let alone in colour, and with sound! It was amazing.
The RSL section also featured interviews with Chris Kennedy on the workings of studio 1, Howard Beer on the diesel engineering side of running the ship, Steve Satan on the transmitter, and a great interview with Tom Lodge talking about the 60’s, interspersed with bits of his show on the RSL with transmitted and processed audio.

Anyway, great to see that again, and thanks for sharing. The footage we had seemed to be running fast. This seems better.
