but they hadn't been for two years to maintain Nautel tx
Ofcom's coverage map is daft
with \_/ notches between 60/66dB zones but radio waves do not divert around corners.
The 5 mast array @ 106.7mts
will not produce such erratic pattern if reversed to 312°
Original pattern @ 132° S\E
pushed a 48dBu signal into NW London from side-lobe -12dB
1mV accepted field-strength deemed by BBC World Service to be adequate.
ScottG claims 1.5mV 63dBu
I am closer at 130kms with 41dBu 375uV/m while 4kW was steady on centre mast 3 of 5
Ofcom's 76dB co-channel protection 6.3mV at 10kms for community radio; which would be 54dB/0.51mV at 70watts
Sov4kW puts that out to 20kms radius & 100kms 648 fringe reception approx 1.2mV when
Inverse distance calculated.
A mention of vehicles driving around London measuring 648 by audio quality - indicates
that only the Nautel 2.5kW
into mast 3 would generate
1mV/60dB just outside M25 on A127 Brentwood > Shenfield
Noted photos of HARRIS DX25U are very similar to tx.mb21
Moorside Edge 1089 3x 50kW
