The amount of duplication is horrendous, e.g news. Each service has its own news meaning, no doubt, hundreds of hangers on doing the same job. That's just one example.
If the beeb are certain enough that peeps want to hear/see their output, then go subscription, a la Net/Zon without adverts. The licence is £13 per month, which is huge in comparison. Switch that to a £10 subs and let them survive accordingly. They could put ads on yoof services to help, as they seem to ignore them overtly.
Whatever actually happens won't affect the millions who, like me, never listen or watch the beeb, and don't have, or need, the tax that is the licence.
