Sadly its a dogs dinner on average its around 400/600 Pounds a month to go on 1 SSDAB (Peanuts but is it worth it)
We have learnt the hard way and NO it isn't also it isn't worth going national (We could have done this way back) One is better off going on a mainstream mux that hits a majority high net worth market London/Surrey with the main transmitter at Crystal Palace does this 100% for us and also covers parts of West Kent/North Sussex/North Hampshire and East Berkshire its 100% spot on and economically makes sense.
West London/South West London included + 14 of the richest towns in England (How can one compare Richmond to Jaywick
Boom hit around 220000 on the latest rajar with 90% of the listeners in areas that our advertisers would have no interest in.
Things are changing and smart speakers in a few years will be No 1 eventually i predict DAB will be on the way out and as for AM forget it.
Our online figurers are still low however for us it doesn't matter when we know we have around 30/40000 on a mainstream mux (SSDAB one would be lucky to get 10) its a complete waste of money.
Upwards and onwards to invest in attracting new listeners to smart speakers etc.
Have a great weekend folks
