Same thing with aerials, As Scotty said in Star Trek "You cannae change the laws of physics! "
But I have found a 80CM aerial on EBay, for hole drill fitting, at say the back of a car
If you Copy/ Paste this Item Number into the Search bar on EBay should come up... 143950410675
Only thing wrong with it, its needs an Amplifier, between the aerial and the Long Extension lead, that you get with the aerial
Without that, FM will be fine, but the AM Medium wave will be poor, reason...
Car radio aerials, originally had Very special Coax wire on them, The Inner conductor was Very Very Thin, like Fuse wire
This was to reduce the Capacitance of the wire, to enable an adjustable trimmer in the Radio, to be peaked at the 1.6 Megs end
Adding an aerial at the back of a car, with just a Long Extension lead to it, will add loads of capacitance across the aerial
making the AM band poor, but FM will be OK, For this reason All the Major Car Manufacturers use a pack at back for rear aerials
