No one has to listen or watch. Just leave it be! If you believe in FREE broadcasting, which I'm assuming that we all do, then we need to allow anyone to broadcast, no matter what their views. Censorship is wrong.
The advertisers who claim they didn't know their ad's would be on GBN are being dishonest. They pledge a chunk of cash to their (advertising) agency who then buy time on their behalf on radio / TV etc. The agencies base buying on the likely delivery of the selected demographic. It's rare and a bit crazy to start pulling time sales back on the angst and hand-writing of a pressure group, who THINK the channel may have a view that THEY disagree with. (And have the advertisers considered that a large majority of those voting at the last election spoke roundly again the left-wing views offered by the Corbynistas?)
Personally, I'm disappointed in GBN - not its political slant (It doesn't seem to have one, yet) but in its intention to be simply a chat box about "issues". How dull and boring! Just as bad as the other channels. I want news and information, not someone else's views and opinions and hand-wringing. (And don't get me started on the appalling audio quality and wonky camera shots. This should have been ironed out the last two weeks with dry running.)
But please, lets not tear off our 'FREE the media' badges and follow the lefties in their BBC love-in.
