I can confirm that there was a problem with the Corgi Brand within Hornby and, according to two different Hornby Reps. whom I met at Antics, lay with a particular Brand Manager.
Jeff: it was probably pressure from the two of us that caused Hornby to put the Sea Vac Form over the original stand of the QE model when the PoW model arrived. The Brand Manager never did acknowledge my letters and emails but the pathetic addition of the Vac Form was a climb down to my eyes. the rumour mill at Antics suggests that the Corgi Brand Manager is no longer at Margate and I am more optimistic that the Hornby management is listening to the customers these days.
