Business, I found, was 'brisk' (possibly after a slowish start) and my car seemed lighter on the way home.
I didn't really have a chance to look at other people's tables: my purchases were limited to a couple of s/h books, some jars of chutney off the (very well stocked and very busy) RNLI table and a very nice 3D printed model of New Brighton Lifeboat station from Gary Anson (Loftlines).
Speaking to the organiser as we were packing up I was told that they have already booked the hall for the same weekend next year - Saturday 25th September, 2027 is the date for your diaries. I have been asked if I will be available to attend: subject to various caveats over age, etc., I should be there.
Please support this event if you are able - it is worth attending. Access is easy by road (L22 1RE) - it is 'Northside' of L'pool, so there is no need to go through the town to get there. There is a railway station some eight minutes walk away. The hall is an 'interesting' old church (Grade 2 listed). The atmosphere at the show always seems very friendly and (as others have noted) the ladies who run the well-stocked canteen are very nice.
