The replacement model arrived a couple of days ago.

Unbelievably and extremely frustratingly it has the same issue with areas of what I assume must be uncured resin covering parts of both the island and hull. This has a smooth, rounded-off appearance. I'm not sure whether this is just sitting on top of the detail or whether it has dissolved the features underneath.

I've taken some photos and contacted the seller. I've also asked why it has giant paving slabs covering the flight deck.
