Re: Lusitania 1250 with black funnels
The re-issue of Lusitania has arrived at Antics today. Lusitania differed from Mauretania in that she always had different ventilators on the upper deck. She always had the lowest superstructure deck cabins painted in buff, rather than the all white of Mauetania. Both ships in peacetime had a white line around the upper hull and this was painted out on Lusitania when the funnels were painted black. Albatros modelled the lifeboats uncovered and slung out for rapid use in the model wartime version whereas they were covered and inboard on the 1913 version. The wartime version was introduced by Albatros in 2015 on the 100th anniversary of the sinking. The price is higher than the last time it was available but not by as much as I had feared.
