According to the Bank of England's inflation calculator, £1 in 1980 would equate to £4.19 now. So, taking that Beatties sticker of £1.25, that would be £5.24 now. I guess the other £1.76 now represents its rarity value...

When I started modelling, with Airfix 1:76 AFVs, I seem to recall that they cost 2/- (10p) from the local bike shop.
