It's a bit odd, isn't it, that in a country than can be very generous in terms of charity giving, funds have never been raised to do a proper job of preserving this ship? AS the article mentioned, repurposing it as a hotel (the obvious use) would be the best way forward, as per the Queen Mary. Sad if it does go to the knackers.
