I agree Maidan had no Passenger Accommodation - however Bendoran apparently took 8 passengers - Shipping Today and Yesterday has an Published 11 04 23 and On-Line article of a passenger voyage on Bendoran - London to Hong Kong
There are several on-line Histories and articles - giving info on trading routes etc
Both Companies were in the Far East Trade when these ships were in service - Brocklebanks ships all had Indian names I think and Ben Line traded as far as Japan - on Liner Services although there were Tramping voyages too
Remember ships of both companies in the Mersey in 50s thro'70s - plus they sailed from London and other UK ports - but Brocklebanks rarely used Bristol Channel ports
Several books on Ben Line are available - Graham Somners definitive history was published by Ships in Focus (following various WSS booklets) and same company has a Pictorial book on Anchor and Brocklebank Lines (as both were part of Cunard in later years)
Bendoran seems to have had an unremarkable career -served Ben Line from 1956 to 1977 when sold to breakers (nice picture at Capetown in 1956 on maiden voyage in Somner book) - but info is basic
Maidan - likewise served 1946 to 69 when sold for further trading to Cypriots and broken up 1972 - may be more info in SIF book - not got it to hand
Hope this helps and please ask if you need any further info
Regards Paul
