Whilst there are personnel shortages across all the services (and RFA) there's some needlessly gloomy exaggeration there!
The sole remaining Fort class solid stores support ship is in maintenance and reportedly in poor condition but due for a Pacific cruise next year and the three replacements have (at last) been ordered.
31 F35Bs have been delivered so far, out of 48 ordered and 72 authorised, 26 now operational - that seems enough for a decent showing on one carrier already.
Both carriers have full crews and there are plenty of recent cases of both being at sea and doing things simultaneously, although the declared point of having two was to always have one available.
