New Coastlines

The first new Coastline is just that, a photo backscene of the North Yorkshire Coast centered around Whitby taken from about a mile off-shore at dawn. The failure of the power-pack in my Windows Millenium computer meant a delay in creating the photo-mosaic, so the backscene did not make its appearance until two days after the 109-year anniversary of the German battlecruiser raid along that coast in December 1914. Battlecruisers are not the only miniature ships that can be displayed infront of this 30inch (760mm) stretch of coastline, fishing boats, coasters, cruise ships, convoys, minelayers and minesweepers, dat-trip boats, even a replica of Cook's Endeavour are all possibilities. You could also introduce a sense of movement because I have re-introduced the Coastlines screen-printed Ship Wakes. Both of these can be ordered from Antics. Also available from Antics is the latest resin Coastlines ship model, the transatlantic liner "Normandie". The prototype model was on show at Wellow but that was awaiting castings for the names on the top deck between the funnels. The name castings and sets of replacement funnel castings (to enhance you Atlas Editions Normandie) are also available separately but you will have to email me directly to enquire about those.
