Many collectors will know of the 1/1200 range of resin kits created by the late Len Jordan. When Len retired the range passed to Les & Alan Hodder and when they decided to retire some five years ago the list went up for sale. It was bought by Dave Hampson, a long-term collector from the Midlands, who wanted something to do in his retirement. (For what its worth Dave is ex-Royal Navy and an all-round 'Nice Guy'). Unfortunately things conspired to slow down the process (think COVID, etc) and at times we wondered if we'd see the line re-appear.

I'm pleased to say that I've recently had a box of 'pre-production models' from Dave which have been 'peer reviewed' and a comment to me yesterday was 'pretty good - saleable'.

I will be taking those I have to the Liverpool Ship Show this coming Saturday for inspection and hopefully sale and the 'plan' is to take things on from there. I think that whilst Dave is still settling in to it we'll be looking at re-issuing the 'easier' mouldings and then going on from there.

One last thing - Dave indicated to me sometime back that he's planning to try and keep costs down and so, as a collector selling to fellow collectors, prices hopefully won't go up too much -- but, of course, remember that the price of resin, etc. will have risen since the days of the Hodders.
