I too looked at this model and tried to work out what it ACTUALLY was!!

I concluded (probably incorrectly) that it was maybe KHYBER - which was the name given to Stanmore after acquisition by P&O

HOWEVER - there should be a white band on the hull - I assumed (even though one should not make assumptions!) whoever finished the model omitted it as it does require some skill - but then again might be Stanmore as painting the White Band and B on the funnel is also a skilled task

This also assumes that it was not finished by WMS - and in my opinion it was NOT - based on how the masts and derricks have been made on known WMS models that I own and pictures of others - the style is distinctive

Also - the detail on WMS models is usually 'spot on' as is accuracy to prototype

Hope these ramblings are of some use - and it is still a nice model with potential
