JEFF, after years of fighting Microsoft I had Google loaded to my MS7 unit. The MS10 stayed with MS and was not changed. BIG MISTAKE!! My MS10 unit turned 2 years old Sunday. Read on to see what that means! So, the friendly company that Microsoft is, shutdown BOTH VERSIONS of my email (both MS 7 and MS 10). LOCKED UNTIL I BUY MONTHLY ACCESS to their cloud for more storage. My sin was not knowing that I had 15GB storage on the MS7 version (that went away when I switched to Google). MY email was linked with the MS10 which I also didn't know only had a 5 GB capacity!! MS did NOT let me know at any time that the MS10 storage was over the storage limit and kept adding anything I stored onto the MS7 version (they are linked so that you don't double up on messages). All was fine until the MS10 computer turned two years old Sunday exposing the overuse of storage on the MS 10. Storage protection now reverted to a 2 year protection period. With MS7 shut down I was, unknown to me, cut down to the point that while having using too much storage, it kept working until the two years was up (Sunday). I now have to either pay extorsion money or delete a massive amount of email. I would delete some but there is no quick way short of "one at a time" to review the content. I need to save quite a bit of information from some of those. So, I am locked out of email until I either pay their extorsion (ransom ware) or delete enough space to free email up again. Microsoft has found a way it seems to emulate the hackers who freeze up systems until a ransom is paid. Remember, I had NO warning about this. See you on the dark side of the moon!
