You never know on these things.

Some years back the Estate of a late friend went up for auction. He had a lot of 'classic' 'O' gauge models - without digging out the catalogue there were 'bidding wars' involving people like Pete Waterman - I recall one carriage going for £2500.
(Locals who went expecting to pick-up a few 'trifles' for not much were left shocked & disappointed!).
