For years I've used this blue mottled thin card which I bought at Rymans. Not for displaying but for images to use for publication. It's maybe a bit too blue! Sheet size is 18" by 24". Don't know if it's still made but there must be something similar at Hobbycraft. 
Model is Albatros HMS Kent straight out of the box
