I was looking up info on the Dolphin Class II Israeli Submarines and saw a article that the Dakar an ex RN T-Class that went missing in 1968 on its way to Israel from Portsmouth. The wreck was located in 1999 but they had no explanation on why she was lost?

I was working on her two days before she sailed checking gas levels in the fridge space. What i noticed was every nook and cranny on that boat was filled with boxes of nuts bolts tool bags etc ie everything we would use to refit boats, even the divers chamber in the fin was full and i often wondered if her loss could have been to stability problems because of all the extra weight.

Having worked on O & P in the 80s setting to work the trim of the boat at the end of a refit was very critical. Has anyone else seen any article giving more details of an explanation of her loss?
