I first got hold of a copy of his famous ,LOTSE Pilotboat catalogue and its listing of all the ship ranges in the Kinderparadis shop in Hamburg in 1974
It was not however until much later that I was able to visit his basement in his house outside Munich in 1998.
I visited him again in 2002 and I was so happy to have been able to meet the person who gave me the impetus to collect.
