Well for me it's fairly simple, if someone owns the name and trademarks they can use them. Examples MG cars, Royal Enfield and BSA motorcycles and there are many more.
If you want to buy an MG made in China by a Chinese company or a Royal Enfield made in India by an Indian multinational fine. But comparing it to a long gone failed UK company's product does not prove much other than nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
I'm grateful that there are people who are prepared to produce, in this case model ships, at a price I can afford and of ships I'm interested in.
Making 1/1200 and 1/1250 isn't going to make you a Musk or Bezos so I thank those that do be it resin, white metal, 3D printed or whatever. Those I've met seem decent and honest.
