Clive is probably right in saying that most collectors will already have models of these ships, if only by Skytrex. However it’s a shame that it was decided not to depict HMS Sheffield and HMS Broadsword with their very distinctive funnels as without them these are not models of the two ships. Just adding a pennant number and deck letters is not enough.

The Type 42 as it stands could be significantly improved if the T965 radar was the correct height, the prominent ships boats and SATCOM antennas were added and the stern more rounded like the actual ships.

Other less easy improvements would be to remodel the hull near the bow to reduce the rake & remove the indentations and to correct 01 deck amidships at the same time removing the vertical plating (midships and aft) which was fitted post-Falklands to provide support for the extra AA.

Funnily enough the extended 01 deck as it stands (fitted on RN ships much later), plus the correct HMS Sheffield style funnel would provide the basis for depicting the ARA Type 42s
